Since taking over the program, USF has been ranked as high as #1 in the country in several NAIA National Polls. LaCross has guided his teams to three NAIA National Championship appearances, four Final Fours, two NAIA Elite 8’s, and a Final 32. His teams have all posted winning seasons and he is the first coach to take five squads to the NAIA National Tournament in his first six seasons at USF. During the 2016 season, LaCross was named Rawlings-NAIA National Coach of the Year after the Cougars won 33 games, won the Crossroads League Regular Season & Crossroads League Tournament Championship, and played in the NAIA National Championship game.
